thankyou for your prompt reply. i have been to my doctors and he told me that my xray wasnt fast tracked (meaning serious). is that good news then. i have been really upset
Hi,
The turnaround time to get X-ray results do not necessarily mean that the delay is because something was found. The turnaround times generally vary due to: delays in locating prior films for comparison, the schedule of radiologists performing the reading (say for example, the radiologist reads every Tues, if you had an X-ray on a Monday - you may get results by Tue or Wed. If you had it done on a Wednesday, it would then take a week).
If the pain from the cough is really bothersome, discuss this with your doctor - there are some medications you can take to make you feel better.
Stay positive.
