Is this Lupus or just and Allergy to Zrytec or Pisatchios

by joanvw, Jun 17, 2009 08:26PM
I have had a pink scaly rash on my torso, neck, arms and legs.  I was infected by Citrobacter Koseri in December of 2006.  I have been under a lot of stress lately.  Is this a Lupus flare or could it be I'm allergic to Zrytec or Pistachio nuts?

I ate the pistachios the night before the outbreak.  I ate them again Monday night and now I seem to have more on one arm.  Still under bad stress.  Infectious disease says it can lead to Lupus.  What is the test for Lupus?

My first symptom for Lupus that I had was hives.  One bad case of hives. I had to admitted to the hospital because i went into anaphaxis (sp) and my throat closed over on me. My face swelled and so did my lips ( which i didn't mind, I kind wanted to keep the full Angalina Jolie lips thing) I am just telling you this is because alot of people don't realize that hives can be a sympton of Lupus. I even went for allergy tests. and since lupus is autoimmune i guess you could say i am allergic to myself  lol
