Lupus?
I am trying to determine what the following significant test results mean:

Complement CH60 is >60
Lupus anticoagulant is detected
PTT-LA is 47
DRVVT Screen is 53
B2 Glycoprotien I AB IGM is >150
WBC is 14.4
DNA (DS) AB is positive at 45
ANA Screen, IFA is Positive at 1:160 Homogenous
Cardiolipin IGM is positive at 112

All other blood tests were negative.  I had ITP is as teenager and had my spIeen removed.

I have severely painful and swollen knees.  I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and patellar femoral syndrome.  Does this make sense or should I get a second opinion?

Thanks.

Hi!
Apart from fibromyalgia and ITP that you have, these tests are diagnostic of lupus in which there is high ANA of homogenous pattern (very specific), presence of lupus anticoagulant and positive dsDNA. Most people with Lupus lead a normal life and are well managed by drugs.  These include NSAIDS, antimalaria drugs, steroids and immune-suppressants. You may need to avoid direct exposure to sun. You need to consult your rheumatologist and discuss this. Take care!
