I recently had a test ran to see if my problem could be lupus!!I have thought for years this could be the culprit but antinuclear antibody test was 1:80 and EAR was. 61 I am a female does anyone know what this means??
Your ANA titre Rhonda at 1:80 is too low to be considered.
The ESR at 61 unfortunately is non-specific, indicating presence of inflammation or infection.
Lupus diagnosis is very complex and it takes a very long time to diagnose
after having a LOT of tests-if your doctor determines there are enough criteria to justify pursuing this.
Have you ruled out low thyroid function 100%?
If you did not get Free T3, Free T4 and Reverse T3 tested, your results from standard tests are inconclusive-even if they might be negative,
as they indicate only serum levels and not thyroid function!
