lymphocytic vascuiltis

I am 29 year old female, have been treated for a rash on my leg about 6 or 8 places as a fungus by my dermatologist. I insisted on biopsy, they say it is lymphocytic vasculitis. Can this just occur, what is the prognosis, does it go away. Can it just be on my legs and no other place? Could it spread? My general practitioner did a lot of blood work, waiting on results. I am really afraid and worried. I ahve two children a 3 and 1 year old.

You may have to have a medical dictionary on hand to understand this article.  But what is says is many things can cause vasculitis.  Of corse connective tissue diseases can, but so can malignancy and drug reactions, etc.  There are different things that affect different parts of the vascular system.  There are large vessel, medium and small vessel vasculitis.  There are also leukocytoclastic and lymphocytic vasculitis.  This article also list some follow-up test that would help narrow down what is going on and that not all vasculitis is treated agressively.
