will it be all right to have a baby with lupus

well i have two kids and years ago i didn't know i have lupus until i want to the doctor and i just want to know will it be all right because my husband don't have any kids.

It can be challenging staying pregnant (miscarriages are common) and there are a lot of risks being pregnant with Lupus but it can be done.  I would encourage you to google the topic and/or look at the Lupus Foundation of America.  You will need to work very closely with your doctors if you decide to do this.

It's considered a high risk pregnancy and you'll probably have some extra doctor visits, but many women with lupus have babies. You should talk to your OB and rheumatologist before getting pregnant, though.

Hi, just wondered if you had decided whether to try for another baby, or discussed this with your doctor?  I have 2 children, but have had 3 miscarriages, the last one this week at 9 weeks.  I was unaware that I had Lupus until after my 2nd child was born 11 weeks early.  I would really recommend that you carefully plan any pregnancy with your Rheumatologist and doctor.  I didnt do this with this last pregnancy as it was unplanned and I carried on with Plaquenil.  Not sure if this would have affected the pregnancy or not.

I would be very interested to know what your doctor said.
