hcg level

  I had a miscarraige in Oct and am  pregnant again. My fisrt hcg lelvel was 127 that was 2 days after I missed my period. I am haveing anouther test done this week to check the level again. My question is, is this level low now?

Dear julie:
A non-pregnant lady has no measureable hCG: a value less than 5 mIU/ml in most assay systems. A value of 127 is not high or low: it is the value following your miscarriage and it needs to be followed until the level is non-detectable.
