symptoms after artificial insemination

  I had an IUI done on 3/24 after going through ovulation induction using gonal F.  The doctors said I have 7 possible eggs to be fertilized.  My question is how well does this procedure work?  This is my third month with gonal F, but 1st month trying IUI.  I do have breast tenderness and some cramping almost like I am going to start my period.  I am also using a progesterone cream.  I am set up for blood work on 4/10, but everyday that passes I am praying that it worked this time.  I have been on fertility meds for over 14 mo.  Is there anything I can do to find out if this worked without the waiting game?? Please help!!

There are many factors that influence the rate of successful pregnancy after ovarian hyperstimulation/intrauterine insemination. Induction and insemination techniques vary. You already have mentioned the number of ova; perhaps equally important is the quality of the sperm used.
I would suggest that you specifically discuss with you physician your individual factors and her/his assessment of the likelihood of the procedure.
