Hello all. I am sorry that i have not been on as of late but I fell into a deep funk. I take 15 mg of percocet twice a day and it's not working anymore. I have been on them for about two years, I also need breakthrough medication and no one seems to understand that. I am running really low because I have had to take 3 a day and when I got to the ER I'm labled as a drig addict seeking meds. I need help. This is depressing me.
SHELLY: Do you find any specific med that works? Do you think anti-depressants should be an option for me at this point.
Again, sorry my post is delayed. Still trying to get back on our feet , Many of us with MSK do have to live on pain management. I do personally as well, but I have Interstitial cystitis, a painful bladder disease along with MSK. Doctors like to use anti-depressants in chronic pain patients, because decreased serotonin levels increase pain . This is why they usually use serotonin uptake inhibitors. My personal experience has not been good with taking antidepressants. For me taking St. John’s Wort works better. However, for others
They may be the night thing. I did get good relief from Lyrica, a medicine used for nerve pain but gained too much weight on it so went off.
