MSK and Disability

I am new here and I need help so badly, Please take a few min. and read this. God Bless You for doing so ,
I would like to ask you to help me please, I have applied for Social Security Disability in Indiana I worked for 30 years two jobs for around four of them and paid in to S.S. now I feel like I am begging for help, Would you please take the time to read what I have written about my health history and tell me if I meet the qualifications here in Indiana I have been denied and I don't know where to turn, Can you tell me if my disease should qualify me. I have worked for 30 of my life sometimes 2 jobs, 8 years as an Nurse's Aide then a full time factory job for 22 years along with every other weekend and Hoildays as an Aide at the Hospital for 4 years of that..I will be 50 years old in Oct. and I have Medullary Sponge Kidney and Papilary Necrosis this was found in 05 In the last two and ahalf years my pain from blood in my unrine and kidney stones has become unbearable, My Dr. no longer even wants me on my feet, I applied for S. S. Disablity and was turned down. my last blood work up showed my BUN was 3 very low and my urine showed +2 blood amount..I dont understand how they could turn me down when I see a pain mamagement Dr. who has me on Oxycontin 60mg 3 times a day and Oxycodone 30mg 3 times a day for brake through pain....I held a postion of lead person in the welding Department for 18 years, the pain started getting bad a few years ago thats when the kidney stones started coming bad..I moved down to the lowest paid job with in the plant cleaning restrooms and lunch areas just to be able to keep my job, I was willing to take a 6 dollar an hour cut in pay if it may it easier on my body and I could continue working. Then the day came when it got so bad I couldnt even drive myself home from work I was so weak, I came home not even haveing the strenght to bath or shower, I would buy those throw away wash cloths from wal-mart in order to be able to get ready for bed in 10 min. as I was so exshausted from standing on my feet all day..Please if you can tell me anything to help me in getting my S.S. Disablity to be approved I would be so greatful, God Bless You for taking the time to read this, God Bless You and Thank You..Jessica

I'm sorry i do not know about getting disability, but it sure sounds like you can keep fighting and do not give up!  At least i am once again surronunded with my own kind.  We all speak the same language and have the same story.  Im sorry you worked so hard all these years and feel so helpless now, it's not fair.  hollie

Jessica I want to assure you the 90% of people get turned down initially!  I was very lucky I did, but please reapply.  I have heard this over and over from people who were initially turned down. YOu will get back pay till the time you started your application once you are approved BUT FIGHT IT. You have worked hard your whole life and now can not work do the the pain etc!  That is what it is for. Yes document all the pain and it's impact on your life, including the pain dairy here and include copies of it and the charts etc. Reliefinsite who sponsors the one here has a more extensive free on on the internet as well.

If your reapply and get turned down again, go to a lawyer who specializes in disablity law. They don't make money unless you win, they know what to do and I believe you would definately qualify! GOOD LUCK AND DON'T GIVE UP! IF I CAN HELP IN ANY WAY LET ME KNOW, I would be glad to speak on your behalf or write a letter to anyone that might help!
