I haven't been sexually active for the past 6 months, and I use a condom all the time. Lately, after wrestling practice, I have been feeling a burning sensation right on the base of where my penis and testicles meet (to the side near the base of the penis). When I pour cold water over it, it gives a slightly irritating burning sensation. It does not itch, no tingling feeling, and no red soreness or any type of cut, sores or blisters that I can see. I've been having this sensation for over a week now. I see no sores or blisters whatsoever. If I rub the area, just a feeling of tenderness. Is this a symptom of genital herpes? Is it possible to have this feeling without any outbreak whatsoever?

Wearing tight manmade fabrics will result in sweating and aggravation from the fabric.
Make an appointment to see your doctor for a swab to be taken for the appropriate medication to be prescribed.
You can purchase antifungal creams specifically for the genitals from the pharmacy without a prescription. But it would be better to get a swab to identify the problem.
As a home remedy you can apply natural set yogurt to you washed and gently dried area. You can do this as long as required.
