My boyfriend has a rash on his front/back torso and arms

My boyfriend has a rash that is always there, can be seen and is dormant when he’s cool and dry, but is inflamed and red when exposed to heat and sweat.  No itching or burning until he gets hot then he experiences slight stinging.   The rash doesn’t appear anywhere else on his body.  He doesn’t take any prescription drugs and has no known medical conditions.  I have pictures...
