Pain in Left Buttocks, Hip and down my leg to my foot

No clue what forum to go you.

From time to time, I have Left buttocks, hip and left leg pain. Slightly, in my groin area, too. Been going on for a few years.

It's not chronic but happens, at least, once every other month and lasts several days.

I do a lot of walking at work (Mail man) and last week I stepped off a curb and fell. Pretty hard fall and the pain I was talking about has been aggravated ever since.

Any ideas? Someone mentioned Sciatic nerve pain,  but I thought that was chronic.

I would like to start back on my treadmill again, but not sure if its safe.

You are going to need an X-ray of your left hip and, if that proves normal, an MRI scan of your LS spine. Nerve root compression is the most likely candidate. Good luck with it.

I got an xray of left hip. Showed normal. One note. My left hip bone is higher than my right. Not sure it that has any thing to do with it. Go back to my regular doctor next week. Since this has happened before and went away, I'm not overly worried.  I'm sure it's nerve related. Thanks so much for your reply.
