Pain is upper left arm between bicep, delt, and tricp. Numbness, burning, and sharp pain

Currently I have a sharp burning pain in my upper left arm right where my bicep, tricep, and deltoid meet on the outside of my arm. It started out as just a little bit of constant pain with topical numbness and has evolved into a sharp burning pain only when I move my arm in certain directions, or angles. The most pain comes when I move my left arm backwards and twist my arm. The skin above where it hurts has been numb all week. There is also a slight bruise but I was not hit with anything to leave a bruise.

This has been painful for 5 days now and is still numb on the sking. I was able to lift weights several days this week, without any pain or problems. I am in good shape and I am 27 years old. I do not have insurance and want to avoid going to a doctor if possible.

When I take Advil it slightly relieves the pain. Heat has done nothing so far. I originally thought it was a bite but there are no signs or symptoms of any bug or spider bites.

Please help.

I would not be waiting and hoping it goes away. Many heart attacks take time to build up. Your symptoms are similar. I am not saying it is, but it would be wise to get it checked sooner than later. Not all heart attacks are the movie style of grab the chest and fall to the floor.

Go to ER rather than a doctor, better to be safer than sorrier.

You say there's a slight bruise so it could be an insect bite. I'm thinking this may be a pinched nerve, that's what it sounds like to me. Or your shoulder could be out of joint. Your so young that it's a little unlikely it's your heart but you really should'nt take any chances.
Since you don't have insurance ask the Drs office if you can make payments. A visit should'nt be too expensive.
If they can find nothing wrong then you might want to think about seeing a Chiropractor. If it's a pinched nerve or your shoulder is out of joint they can take care of that.    Remar
