Penis Infection
Hi,
A few questions about Yeast Infection:
1) how is penile yeast infection spead. I did not have sexual intercourse other than my girlfriend, but have gotten penile yeast infection according to my doctor. My girlfriend, on the other has been check by her Gynea to be clear of yeast infection.
2) Have been put on fungal cream and some oral ketoconzole for about 1 month but still not cured :(
3) Could Penile yeast infection be a sign of anything else?? worried...
4) Also, what is the difference between yeast infection and Balanitis. My doc says it's yeast but it's looking more like Balanitis from what i've read here.

Hi,
One can get yeast infection even without any sexual contacts, but with sexual contact it can easily spread, so one should avoid sex while under treatment. Penis, Scrotum and Vagina are places easily infected due to presence of moisture and lack of sunligt.
I also feel one month of treatment should have produced some improvement. If not you should go back to your doctor and seek his advice. If left untreated, it can spread to other parts and also easily spread to your partner.
