Breast Pain and Lumps MALE 22

Hi All,

I have had breast pain in my left 'breast'. I am a 22 year old male. My breast hasn't really enlarged noticeably. I have firm lumps where my glands are along with squishy tissue. I have pain most of the time like dull aching, usually it hurts more at different points in the day. It radiates to my armpit. I have 2 small lumps underneath my nipples, the left one is larger and is sometimes painful. I have a lump to the left of my left nipple that feels firm but i can move these lumps around. I would say they range from about 0.5CM to 1cm in diameter. The glandular tissue fills very swollen.

I have no other symptoms except I feel rubbish but not sure if that is anxiety causing that.

I have seen 2 different GPs, they collectively spent about 10 minutes 'examining' me. Basically, listened to my chest, pushed on my ribs. I think they are misintepreting what I'm saying. Said I was fine 'a young man'. Right.

I'm almost at a point of just going to BUPA and paying £1000 for an MRI and looking for myself.

CAN ANYONE HELP ME I AM TERRIFIED I'M GONNA DIE OR SOMETHING.

I think you should see another doctor, probably a surgeon. Breast cancer is uncommon among guys, but men too can have breast cancer. When I was about your age I found my right nipple was leaking a clear fluid. The doctor said that it could be a precancerous condition. He referred me to a surgeon and I had my right breast removed as a precaution. Simple mastectomy isn't that big a deal in a guy. You might have to stay in the hospital overnight. Of course you would lose your nipple.
