Scar not healing? Looks really bad on my arm, HELP PLEASE!

My arm was burned by steam while cooking a few weeks ago. It was nothing serious, just a small circle of burned flesh. It looked like a normal scape on the arm. I didnt really care for putting a band aid on my arm. Now I have this small round and brown circle where my arm was burned. Its all healed up and everything but the scar wont go away. Does anyone know how to get rid of this?

ps: this scar on my arm doesnt look cool at all, it just looks stupid so I want to get rid of it.

You could try using cocoa butter..it's supposed to help with things like stretch marks, may work for the scar as well.

Yes, I have this brown mark where I got burned. I heard from a friend if you use band aid on the scrape the scar would not be that visible as of when you dont use a band aid. Is this true? Will using a bandaid durng the time when the wound didnt heal yet cause much less scaring?

I was burned very badly on my wrist while in college.  Nothing big in area, just a line.  

It took about 3 years for the scar to fade from brown back to normal flesh color.  I can still see the scar today (6 years later) if I make a point to look for it.  

It will just take time for you to heal and the scar will probably never completely disappear but will eventually become unnoticable unless you look for it.

Try getting Mederma it is supposed to help scars fade away.  Or you could use neosporin.

You might try putting some vitamin E oil on it.  I have a very bad burn on the left arm and that's what the doctor told me to use.
