Tamsulosin- alpha blockers

I would just like to say I too started taking Tamsulosin yesterday for a reatively minor prostate problem (as prescribed by urologist) and was amazed and delighted to find a huge improvement in flaccid penis hang. The effect started within a couple of hours of taking the drug and is even more marked today after taking the second 400mg capsule.  For years my penis has been fine when erect (but sometimes with help of Viagra) but has hung like a shrivelled walnut especially in the cold weather and this itself seems to casue flow problems. I have just been out in today's fairly exptreme cold and penis continued to hang well.  Now for first time in years I have no problem in steping up to the procelain instead of hiding in the cubicle.  The downside is that I feel a bit drowsy and weak on this new drug but let's see if this wears off or no.  I had no idea that this could happen with Tamsulosing and have found my way to this forum by googling to see if anyone else had experienced similar on this drug.  Certainly this is not a side effect desribed on the drug leaflet or by the urologist!
