Hi.
A few days ago (around a week) I had some minor tears on the upper region of my penis, around the prepuce, to be precise. I dismissied this as a minor irritation due to some friction. During the healing process however, a yellow crust or scab started to develop around the affected region which had started to swell up as well. When I removed some of this crust, because it itched, it would reopen some of the little tears which produced very acute pain. I let it heal on its own and now there are no more open wounds but the skin which formed is too sensitive and fragile. Additionally it won't let me retract the foreskin even when flaccid; trying to do so will cause the skin to tear up a bit. I think it's importante to note that this skin looks underdevelopped in the sense that it appears as being smoother than the rest of the skin of the penis. Will this skin eventually integrate with the rest of the penis and gain elasticity as to retract over the glans? Or should I be concerned that it will remain like this permanently and I'll need to have it surgically removed?
Thanks in advance for any input.
