UTI? FATIGUE, HIGH WBC in urine, thryoid off

MY 16YR OLD son is extremely smart but has had extreme fatigue ,
and headaches several times a week every day for months now.
last month he threw up and had diarrhea but was better by afternoon and slept it off.
He has been on minocycline for acne for about 6 months now. We took him to a out clinic because they have labs there and they came by high white blood count in urine but the culture was negative but still the dr said he likely had a  UTI bacterial infection and put him on Bactrim for 10 days. he did a TSH THYROID  test and it was high at 6 but dr said to retest in a month. WHAT DO YOU THINK>?
Seven days and he is still fatigue and sleeps a lot. His grades are the same. He does seem to be irritable, little appetite, but he is a picky eater and he stays indoors a lot. He does take a b complex and multi vitamin most days  and he skips lunch every day at school. HELP.....DESPERATE MOM...
Would high WBC interfere/infection with his thyroid function?

Hi,

If you are in Los Angeles Area, I would highly recommend that you visit Dr. Jacklin Arastouzadeh. She helped me with pains in the most natural way. Her clinic is at Beverly Hills 1.310.777.0388.

Hi,
Most of the symptoms you mentioned are atypical of his age group and may not be very important. But if he gets head ache regularly, better to consult a good physician and get an overall health check up done.
He needs to change his irregular food habit and instead of depending on vitamin supplements, he should get them all from proper diet. Does he get enough sleep at night?, if not he needs to correct it. Exercising moderately also is import in this growing age.

TSH of 6 may not be significant, as the doctor advised, get it rechecked after a month, but this time, be sure to check both T3 nad T4 as well.

WBC count in the urine is to be monitored and hopefully will go away after the anibiotic treatment. His tiredness may be linked to the infection and possibly head ache as well. He should drink a lot of water. Cranberry juice is supposed to be good.

At his age it is also a good idea to get his full hormone tests done, by an  endocrinologist to rule out if some of his symptoms are due to some hormone imbalance.

Good luck,
Solace
