Why is my ejaculation brown, should i be concerned?

Hi,

I am a 22 year old male, otherwise fit and healthy, go to gym lots and eat great.

Recently I have abstained from any sex or masterbation (about 40 days) as I felt my erections were weaker than they have been before, and my semen seemed thiner.

In the past I have ejaculated up to 4 / 5 times a day, so i thought a break would do me good.

Just before the start abstience I noticed an achy feeling where i believe my prostate gland to be (between the scrotum and anus)

The ache persisted and I had it checked out by my doctor. He done a urine test which came back clear, and also checked my prostate the following week.

The next day I ejaculated for the first time in about 40 days and there was a large amount of thin, dark brown coloured liquid.

I have only ejaculated once more since the first time and it was the same.

I have also noticed small brown drips at the end of urination.

It is also maybe important to point out there were a couple of times were I was sexually aroused and did not ejaculate during the abstinence, I felt this triggered the ache in my prostate. (I struggled with the abstinence to begin with, and managed to stop myself from ejaculating, also giving me the classic blue balls.

The doctor said with the next few ejaculates the blood should pass and everything should settle down.

I feel as though I still have a heavy / achey feeling in the prostate from time to time.

I am quite concerned, can anyone help?

you gave the doctor a urine sample but didn't tell you what was wrong? I have a very similar issue, I sent a doc my urine sample and will hear from them.

This happened during a urine sample? I would follow up on that. Call the doctor's office and ask if they had any thoughts about this brown colored urine and if you need to come back to look into this. There are liver and kidney disorders that can do this as well as bleeding higher up that would then cause urine to be brown. Call your doctor.
