Why is my stool black? This is getting me paranoid.

I've noticed my stool is normal colored but 2 feces have black spots on them, why is this? Now I'm paranoid that I might have internal bleeding.

I ate a bowl of fruits the night before, many being blue-berry's, that may be the reason.

I think it has to be with what I was consuming. I haven't eaten blueberries in a while and my feces are completely normal, last night I ate them and today I had the same thing.

Although I've had no symptoms what-so ever.

Hey Klaudio,

I am not sure of the black spots.  I hate to ask to be more descriptive.  Yes high up bleeding would turn the stool black but again i'm not sure of the spots.  I'm not an expert but have researched this a little bit.

To be safe you should go to the gastroenterologist, have you any other symptoms, fever?

You will definitely be looking at a rectal exam and possibly a colonoscopy.  Expect to be asked to bring a sample of your stool.

Depending on the severity, I would call tomorrow.
