got rid of balanitis , now i have blisters , is that normal?

ok so ive had balanitis for almost a year. when i first got it my skin was just tight and i would get smegma under my foreskin. I had tried using clotrimazole cream and washing with warm water. after 2 weeks it went away. i had sex after that and everything was good, then It came back probably 4-5 months later out of nowhere,. so this time for the last couple of months , i tried the same method and stretching the foreskin and it wouldnt help , so i started using this cream barmicil it after a few days it was gone! but now i have some blisters on my penis head , i even had one on the foreskin  but that one went away quick.this is really worrying me that i got something else , but the whole time ive had balanitis i never had any bumps or blisters before.  im getting an appointment for a doctor next week.  but does anyone know what  might of caused this blisters? im only sexually active with my wife and she is actually the only person ive ever been with , same with her, and due to the balanitis we havent had sex for several weeks , just a hj once in a while without retracting the foreskin. i would like to point out that i am a diabetic too , and i dont really control my sugars with medication, just try to control what i eat. ive read this might be a factor , but not sure , any info would help, thank you!
