have you tried not to touch them for some time? it may be a combination of an inflammation with something else. If it is (partly) an inflammation, it would lessen if you don't touch it for some time (like a week). I understand this may be hard but it might help.
Whatever this is, it is probably trying to parasite your skin (nothing to be too worried about)  and to do so, it must damage your skin. This normally hurts, but in lesser portions it would itch. However if you scratch your skin you damage it even more, actually helping the infection to spread.
I suggest you mark the spots with a marker (doesn't look good, but it's useful to know) and not scratch at them for a week. If the itch gets less, keep it up! If it doesn't get less, you might as well try something else.
Keep track of the spots, by keeping a diary or just memorizing how many spots come and go during a week of scratching and during a week of non-scratching. This way you can determine whether it helps or not.

Keep me informed on what's happening!

can you describe the spots more accurately? I'm no expert, but even if I was this would be too little information.
What colour are they? Do they always itch, or only at certain times? Do they stay or do they disappear and reappear later?
