semen smell?!?!!?!?

Okay so I used a condom during sex once...and instead of hiding the condom, I left it in the side compartment of my car (which semen inside)...and after awhile my car began to smell like shrimp (fishy)...and when i removed the condom, the smell went away. Is it normal for semen that has been sitting for extended periods of time to begin to smell??

I didn't mean to "hide it"...and no, we had sex in the house..but considering how parents were home, we didn't want to leave it out...so I put it in the side panel of my door.

why would you "hide the condom" anyway?

let me see if I understand correctly.  You had sex (in your car?) and placed the semen filled condom in the side compartment in your car.  And after several days it began to smell?  Semen does have an odor to it somewhat like chlorine and I imagine after being exposed to heat for some time the odor can increase to some degree....I really wouldn't worry about it..

It's possible. since it has been sitting in a hot car enclosed in a wrapper and bacteria started to grow on it, if you're worried about a possible infection you can always go see your doc, doesn't seem too serious since it was left in the car and not currently causing a problem within your genitals, but if you notice something wrong with the smell after ejaculation. definitely worth doing something about. Good luck! Sincerely, Elizabeth
