pubic hair discoloration

For a while now, I have observed pubic hair around/near my lower scrotum/testicles to be reddish brown color and have a sort of  build up on it, a build up that I can actually peel off. I tried to shave away the pubic hair, but more grew back, and the build up was still on the new hair. It's not a thick build up or anything, it just covers the hair. It isn't on my skin at all either, and it's only in my lower regions of the scrotum around where my legs touch my testicles and lower. I've read other comments of people who have the same problem, and I've read that it's due to sweating. Is that true? My newest way I believe to get rid of it is to wash it very well, shave the area, then use powder (I got baby powder) to keep from sweating. I have noticed sweating, and believe that could be the cause. Please help me, this has been bothering me for a while. I'm pretty sure it's not an STD. Help

This sounds like the same type of crusty discoloration that I have noticed on the hair in my armpits. I have had it for several years and I have shaved my armpits to get rid of it. It comes back and I just shave again. I have a hunch that it is a mineral build up, but have not consulted a doctor about it. Has anybody got a name for this condition, a real treatment, documented medical history?

I've noticed this on myself also. I used Naire to get rid of all the hair, but it grew back with the same stuff on it. I squirted bleach on it, and it got most of it off. I tested a small area to make sure it wouldn't burn first though. I'm not sure how to get rid of it, but bleach seems to kill most of it. If not repeated often it just comes back. I figure it's because it isn't killing all of whatever it is. I even bought new underwear in case the old was contaminated. I just can't get rid of it. I wish I could find some pictures of this, and the cause, with some kind of explanation of what kills it, so I can buy it? Maybe battery acid?

Hey I have that too. I noticed about a month back that some of the hair on my scrotum has this yellowish crust to it, that you can peel off. I didn't think much of it, I thought it might be a mineral build up that is secreated from my scrotum, I don't know.
