small bump in pelvice under penis.

Hi, I'm 18 years old. I honestly can't say when this first appeared, however I have a small pump in my pelvis slightly below my penis, although not far enough to consider it close to my anus. It's right around the area where the bottom of my penis meets and joins my pelvis.

As far as I can tell, it's more or less painless. I can poke it, prod it, etc without any real pain or anything. However since I've become aware of this bump, I have been more aware of how that area of my body is feeling, this may be my mind playing tricks on me, however I cannot say that this isn't a slight increase in sensitivity or minor discomfort caused by the bump, whatever it is, it's only mild and not interfering.

The bump itself is located moreso on the left side maybe a half inch to full inch below where the penis meets the pelvis.

There are NO visible symptoms. I've checked quite thuroughly to see if I could soften the skin of the scrotum in a bath to flatten it and make this bump visible on the surface, however it's quite small (literally almost the exact shape and size of a tiny ready-to-pop pimple, maybe slightly more rounded). I've examined the possibilities of a hernia, it seems quite unlikely that this is my problem. And I've read into various forms of cancer, although by the sounds of it if I had cancer, I would probably notice something as well higher up in the lymph nodes and possibly abdomen.

Now I've had a bit of a history with this general area of my body. Roughly 2-3 years ago I triggered and sore radiating pain in what I seem to remember being the left side of what I tought was my testicals (the location of this bump is close enough to the testicals that I can see how I may have mistaken it for one of the chords). I never had it examined (stupid me) and while I did occasionally have a dull radiating pain or slight discomfort now and again, I'd attributed it to natural swelling and shrinking of the testicals triggering a mild sensitive reaction. I don't have any problems to comment on currently, however some discomfort in or around the left testical can sometimes be noted during a shower.

To my knowledge, I have never pissed blood. I have never had a painful orgasm. I have never ejaculated blood. I've never had difficulties with ejaculation, and I've never experienced any pain or discomfort associated with the natural functions of this area.

I DO however have a shy bladder. Occasionally I may go to **** with a mild sensation that I have to **** which only fades away as I get closer to the toilet and is gone by the time I'm ready to go. Occasionally I'll find that I have to go, although the actual sensation of having to go causes enough stimulation to the area to keep the muscles contracted meaning it takes a little more time and additional relaxation to get a stream going.

I have no complaints about my lymph nodes, except a few days ago I did notice an almost bruised feeling roughly where the left lymph node should be. It wasn't constant, and the pain was only triggered by walking, blending, turning, or anything that would apply pressure to that area internally, it wasn't a constant discomfort.

All of these things have occured on the left side. With the discovery of this well hidden and even now difficult to find lump, on the left side, I can't help but wonder if this isn't simply a connective tissue.

I've examined the lymph node areas around my ground myself and haven't felt anything that I can comment on, both sides feel relatively the same with no noticed differences in firmness or sensitivity.

To summarize everything:
First noticed bump 3 days ago, however it's possible I may have discovered it once about a year ago and thought nothing of it.

Mild testical discomfort or radiating soreness on the left side. Testicals have been examined and nothing feels wrong or out of place. Can't comment whether discomfort radiated into the pelvice. Has been occuring for more at least 3 years with no interruption to daily life. I've never ONCE been able to specifically locate the tender or irritated part of the testical.

Shy bladder on occasion.

Mild soreness noted at least once near lymph node although there is no evidence to suggest I didn't just walk into a table.

No visible symptoms. No swelling, discoloration, protruding veins, or lumps on the surface.

Healthy and painless functioning of the penis and testicals.

Possibility of slight discomfort around that area, it's highly possible that I may have adjusted to and blocked out this sense of discomfort being relatively unaware of it, and possibly mistakening it for a mild discomfort in the testical, however now that I've found a bump there, my attention to nerves and sensations has been going back to that area more frequently.

MY opinion:
I think it's a cyst. It's difficult to feel for the cell wall due to the amount of flesh covering it and due to it's small size so close to the tissue. It's definitely attached or anchored to tissue on the pelvis. I did notice a slight sensation that I wouldn't necessarily call "pain" when I pressed on it, however I wouldn't say this exactly felt good either. Does it sound possible that I may have developed a cyst 3-4 years ago which has been gradually disappearing this whole time? Thus accounting for the early pain which faded out to a mild discomfort as the cyst possibly began to shrink and became less irritated and pressed on by the tissues surrounding?

Please note that I have not seen a doctor about anything regarding this, and therefore have obviously not experienced any obvious abnormal symptoms which would have come to my attention.

Is there anything I can do to further confirm what it may be, or to at least eliminate what it isn't?

Sorry, I didn't realize the censor filter would pick this up, but the "****"'s are supposed to be meaning "urinate", just so there's no confusion over a censored 4 letter word :p

It also seems quite unlikely that this is an injury, and I know this is not an STD.
