small lump on bottom of left testical

Not sure where to post this question...

I have been doing TSEs now for several years. Most of the time its just a quick check to see if anything has changed. Recently I found a hard lump, about the size a grain of rice, or maybe a bit larger at the bottom of my left testicle. Its hard to get a hold of and seams to move out of the way if I try to grab the sides of it. If I palpate the testicle it is surely there on my testicle and feels 'out of place' like it should not be there. Anyone else have this going on? Should I keep an eye on it and see if it goes away on its own?

  Testicular cancer will feel like a hard lump that's attached to the testicle this is something you need to have checked out.  Make an appointment to see a urologist and have an ultrasound and blood tests done.  It may not be anything but waiting means the difference between what your treatment will be if it is serious. Better to be safe.

I did go to the walk in clinic due to my doctor not able to see me until early June, unless a cancellation comes in before then. Anyway, the walk-in doc could have been less interested in my concern. The doc took a quick look (as if she had xray vision :-) attempted to feel for the lump in question and then said an ultrasound will need to be done. I have one scheduled for early June, funny how that early June is the first available appointment.

I'm glad your getting this checked.... I have to be honest here  If you keep getting this kind of reaction I suggest finding a new doctor preferably a urologist. In fact make sure a urologist is the one to read your ultrasound and request blood tests also.  Some doctors simply dont see many (if any) cases of tc and unfortunately the patient doesn't receive the right treatment.  What you have could be completely benign but if it turned out to be tc treating it early can make all the difference in the world.
  I can recommend a website that will give you more information than I ever could, its tccancer.com.  The homepage has info on self exams that may help you with questions regarding the lump you found.  If you check  out the forums you'll see first hand just how serious all doctors should take any kind of lumps found on the testicles.  May not be anything to worry about but once again I'm really glad your going to make sure.

Has anyone here had a ultrasound of the scrotum done? I just had mine done and not sure if things were in the right place (if you know what I mean). It was a bit cool in the room and the gel was cold as well. Not sure if the tech was able to 'see' the part of my testicle that was in question. I tried to move it and was told to point with one finger only, not to move anything around down there during the exam.

Just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience.... Thanks
