urinary pain

M Y FATHER HAD BLADDER CANCER ABOUT 6 YRS, BCG TRATMENT, IN REMISSION 5YRS. HAS A SUPRAPUBIC CATHETER, YET GETS 'ATTACKS' WHERE THE PAIN IS AT THE TIP OF THE PENIS, WITH EXTREMELY PAINFUL BURNING PAIN, HE SCREAMS LIKE A BANSHEE. TRIED PYRIDIUM, PROSED, HELP!!!!!

Is he being checked on a regular basis for urinary tract infection? These can happen when using catheters.

I think that you will find that there is only one nerve for the whole of the bladder/prostate/urethra/penis. It is at the tip of the penis. Therefore any problem in this area will undoubtedly give pain in that nerve. He must without undue delay see his Urologist or failing that his GP. Hope things get resolved, quickly.
