They said she may hold her pee all day cause she does not feel she has to go.We had to do a EEG cause she gazes upward to the right a few times everyday for seconds at a time .The EEG was Neg. Today we did a MRI,They found a 1.2 cm pineal cyst.I got a call right after the MRI saying she had it .Thr Dr said call them if she gets headaches or vision problems. My daighter seems to feel no pain ( they said due to Autism) and She is confused alot .I would not know if she has vision problems. What sound I do. Could it not be Autism could all this be from the cyst. And she is be removed or treated and how would they. I am so confused please help..

Hi,
How are you? A pineal cyst is a fluid-filled growth inside the pineal gland. This is usually benign in nature and asymptomatic. However, a cyst may enlarge and press on surrounding structures causing symptoms such as headaches and vision problems. At this point, watchful waiting is usually done. If these symptoms occur, the cyst  can be removed using surgery. Check with her doctor for proper management of her autism. Take care and do keep us posted.
