Cranial Bone Tumor

Doctor,
I am told that I have fibrous dysplasia of the skull.  It measures 3.5 x 2.4 centimeters, as you can see below in the left supraorbital area...

Here is a link to the films (please look at the link and scroll down to see the images)..

My symptoms have been for 41 months a continuous, dull head pressure that is widespread (diffuse) and deep behind the forehead....my head feels very heavy, and forehead stiff.    It is hard for some one to imagine unless they feel it, but it is very depressing to feel this intense pressure always.     It doesn't get worse with exercise, but it does interfere greatly with my well being and ability to function.

I have seen a neurologist and neurosurgeon at a major University, and I know what they have recommended.

Could you tell me if you think this is probably or probably not the cause of my symptoms?   And any additional comments you can make.  Thanks.

Wrong. I'm sorry, but my fiberous dysplasia tumor was the main cause of my sinusitis. It was pushing and deforming my sinuses into a different position. And it was in my forehead. So for it to do that much damage means it can be completely responsible  for the pain she is feeling.

Hi,

How are you?
Fibrous dysplasia usually is asymptomatic and does not cause any major symptoms other than increased susceptibility to fractures.
In some cases of fibrous dysplasia of skull symptoms like blurry vision and progressive proptosis of the eye have been reported.
Your symptoms seem to suggest sinusitis. Sinusitis can cause pressure headaches especially in the forehead region and behind the eye.
Do you have symptoms like post nasal drip?
At the moment it does not seem very likely that fibrous dysplasia is causing these symptoms but only a clinical examination can tell for sure.
