Foggy feeling from Imitrex?

After taking 100mg of Imitrex for my migraines, within 3 hours after I usually feel all of a sudden kind of "out of it". I am just really "slow" feeling and neutral in personality unlike usual. Is this typical? Why does it do this?

Imitrex is known to cause dizziness, confusion, hallucinations, and problems with vision, speech and balance.

I would suggest you to discuss this with your prescribing doctor if it is getting difficult to cope with this side effect. There are other triptans available which you can try like Rizatriptan.
Hope this helps!

Hi!!! I posted a question asking if zomig knocked other people out.... or if anyone found any sort of knock-out side-effects with triptans...

I totally feel out of it after I take my triptans... it takes the pain away... but I am out of it... tired... fatigued... and even confused sometimes for hours after the migraine... sometimes for the rest of the day!!!

I am not sure if it is a side-effect of the triptan, or if it is the migraine and the triptan is not relieving all of the migraine symptoms (and only relieving the pain).

Buy yeah... I totally feel out of it after taking triptans!
