Is this cluster, tension, migraine or worse?

Hello,
I have been getting these weird headaches that seem to be isolated to one section of my head (top right kinda above ear). They are really intense and feel kinda like sharp pain that goes through the top of my head all the way down to my right cheek. It isnt a constant pain but it will come and go many times durring the day. Then sometimes I will get headaches that feel like they are in the back of my head and throbbing then it move to right above my eyes and throb there. They also seem to get worse with movement. I did have a CT scan without contrast about a week ago and my doctor said eveything came back normal.
I guess my question is has anybody else suffred from these? What was your outcome? Also maybe I can get some relief for some of you about the whole brain tumor thing (sorry i know this is stupid)... Would a non contrast CT rule out any type of brain tumor or serious nero issue?

A little info on me I am a 22 year old male. I am about 5'9" 160 pounds. I have asthma and lots of allergies (had it all my liife). I do smoke (I know its very stupid) and have been for about 5 years. I know I have been getting headaches since I was a little kid cause I remeber telling my teacher about it and she told me to rub my temples.

P.S. I forgot to mention that if I take an Advil or some IBprofun it will kill the headache completely.

Thanks for the input

Chris

Hello Dr. Santos,
Does having the clear CT scan pretty much rule out a brain tumor?

Its not cluster as these come with a droopy eye and are intensely painful, hence why they std also known as suicide headaches. Youtube cluster headaches to see a sufferer in action, its not nice. Plus an advil will not kill these headaches off. I am a severe migraine sufferer and again advil is not something migraine sufferers would even think about. The description of the location you describe sounds like migraine and they can come and go throughout the day. Mine do. Do you have aura? Sensitivity to light? Vomiting? I don't have aura, only some sensitivity to light and I do vomit half the time.  The only thing that confuses me is how easily you Medicare your pain. But that's a good thing because most mugrsine sufferers spend yrs trying to get prevents and relievers. I'm on a ton of mess including epilepsy and anti depressants not for their proper use but because they work for migraine. And I have to inject myself too. Go see a neuron for a proper diagnosis.

Hi Chris,
How are you? It is good to know that the CT scan and your doctor have cleared any organic issues. Brain tumor headache usually presents with pain that progressively worsens, projectile vomiting, possible visual disturbances speech or personality changes. There is also problems with equilibrium, gait, or coordination; as well as presence of seizures. If the imaging study was normal, this could indeed be due to primary headaches tension or cluster headaches.Try to observe and see if any of these symptoms occur. If the pain persists, it is best that you have this checked by a neurologist. Additional diagnostic tests may need to be done. Take care and best regards.
