Meningitis???

Is it at all possible to have meningitis without a fever?  I have a major headache, stiff neck, loss of appetitie, tingling in my right arm and right side of my face.  Any ideas???

Hi.

There have been instances of meningitis without fever. But what may be more probable is a migraine headache. A migraine has all these symptoms.

Did you have any infections of the nose or ear ? You should consult your neurologist to confirm a suspected meningitis.

You can start off with a very high fever and by the time you get Meningitis your temperature may be low grade.You may also feel cold to the touch.

When I had viral meningitis I did not have a fever, but I had extreme stiffness, sensitivity to light, sore throat, and severe headaches. These among many other symptoms, of course.

Go to your doctor, in my opinion.
