Pain on the left side of head and eye hurts too

I have had this pain on the left side of my face and on the top left of my head as well and my left eye as well just throbs but when I touch the top of my head and face I feel this stinging sensation as if I got hit real hard with a ball like I was playn Dodgeball then I get this throbbing pain in my left eye as well when I shut it feel a liitle pain in the surrounding corner of the eye why is that hope you are able to help me understand before I go to Doctors its bn goin on three days now n last night it was the worst

You need a good physical exam.  Probably an MRI is not going to show anything unless a physical exam shows something more than what you are describing.  May consider TMJ/TMDD, meanind spasm of the ptrygoid muscles and temporalis muscle related to some silent jaw misalignment (this will commonly cause eye pain and temporal tenderness).  A raging sphenoid sinus infection may cause eye pain without vision change, but would not cause a tenderness of the scalp to the touch.  Physical exam and maybe some bloodwork can clear up temporal arteritis which is less common but can be serious.  See a good doctor!  http://AdvancedENTpc.com

Do your best to push for MRI.  I had migraine, numbness or pain in left arm and head and face and was 49 when I had MRI show a cause finally (which is not an urgent matter - but at least gave me answers.).  My husband on the other hand never had MRI and ended up in a serious case because we didn't know he had a serious condition.

I have learned by experience to push for tests - or some doctors will try this and that, experimenting with cures instead of finding causes (insurance is often to blame for this - not the dr)
