Temple Head Bruise

by unamed, Mar 04, 2008 02:54AM
Today at cricket practice, i was about one meter away from the batter and the cricket ball got smashed right into my temple. My question is, how come i dont have any bruises or swelling?

There mustn't be anything in there to bruise.  Is that a new fielding position?  Super silly point, eh?

Hi,

The swelling and bruising may not be evident at this point but you may start experiencing them in a few hours .Nevertheless, apply a cold compress over the area immediately and you may take some pain relievers to prevent pain from progressing.

Is there any numbness in the area? Is there any associated pain in moving the jaw, in opening the mouth, or in biting?

Do watch out for any dizziness, headaches and vomiting .If these occur, seek consult immediately.
