Were you checked for meningitis? If not, you should request to be checked. If meningitis is ruled out, see a neurologist as soon as possible.
Hi.
Do you have a fever? Do you experience nausea and vomiting?
If you have the symptoms I mentioned above, there is a possibility that you may be suffering from meningitis. You should immediately have your condition checked by a physician.
Other conditions that could possibly cause such symptoms include migraines, tension headache, or even hypertension.
Hope this helps.
I am not crazy about the medical care you have recieved. Try to touch your chin to your chest, if you can do that with relative ease then that is a good sign on the meningitis front - although it doesn't rule it out. Don't freak out yet - How old are you and are you a women. Your shoulders etc.. are getting sore because you have had the headache so long everything else is trying to protect your head - that is normal and to be expected.
Do you have a FEVER = the most important questions.
You need to call TODAY and make an appointment with a neurologist - call your member services phone number on the back of your card - get 3-5 names of "board certified" neurologist. You can call each one until you find one that can get you in quick - also you can go the ER at anytime - you are in a great deal of pain and they can break that pain at least for a couple of days. Praying is good - I do a great deal of it - but my personal thought is that God gave us doctors - and you need to get to a specialist as soon as possible. And again, go to an urgent care or ER if you have nothing strong enough to control the pain. And if you have a fever, go anyway.
