Hi,
Thanks for the update. It is good that the CT scan was negative. Meningitis may present with severe headache, fever, vomiting, stiff neck, confusion, sensitivity to lights or sound, decreased sensorium and even seizure. Pain medications prescribed by your doctor may help provide relief. However, if the headache persists and the symptoms mentioned arise, it is best that further evaluation be done. Take care and best regards.
I went to the E.R last night, the CT came up negative but they wanted to do a spinal tap to check for menegitis but couldn't cause they had no one there to perform it at the time? (have no clue) My head is constant though, gets worse sometimes than others, its from eyes all the way back to the back of my head.. I'm nausea and that's about it.
Hi,
How are you? Can you elaborate on the character and location of the headache? What other symptoms are present? If there is no history of head trauma, this could be due to primary headaches such as tension, migraine or cluster headaches. Try to avoid taking over-the-counter pain medications because some can cause rebound headaches. Have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Imaging studies such as MRI or Ct scan may also help rule out organic causes. Take care and do keep us posted.
