Hi there. You are describing many of the symptoms of hemiplegic migraine. I have this as well, except for me it is extreme muscle weakness and not actual paralysis. Please look into this condition. If you have a direct relative that also has this, it is genetic and classified as familial. If it is just you, it is considered sporadic. Try not to panic. This condition can be extremely scary, especially when you don't know what is going on, but your risk of stroke is not that much higher than the normal population. It can take a while to learn your triggers but when you do you might be able to get better control over the symptoms. Make sure you see a good neurologist, preferably one who specializes in migraine. This type is pretty rare and many do not know much about it. Best wishes.
Hello,
I also had a number of crazy neuro symptoms this past year that lasted for 3-4 weeks each time. Pins and needles, dizziness, left leg weakness with many trips and falls, near passing out, major weight loss (15-20 pounds in 1 month), etc. After a work up by a neurologist for everything under the sun... she called it migraines with stroke-like symptoms. I looked around here on the forum for others with the same and didnt come up with much. Feels like its not a common condition.
If your blood work is something like an autoimmune disease, have you been worked up for NMO, antiphospholipid syndrome, and Lyme disease? I honestly dont know much about these other then I remember being tested.
How long has this been going on for you? Just watch out and take care of yourself. Keep calling the neuro docs office if things persist.
Best wishes.
