This has been going on since September. It happens more while yelling or cheering and bending over. The throbbing doesn't linger it just hurts for a minute. Is this still consider a migraine even though it doesn't last every long?
Thanks!!
Hi,
These symptoms can be due to benign cause like exertional headache. Exertional headaches are throbbing headaches which occur on straining at the bowels, intercourse and strenuous exercise.
However it is important to rule out other more serious causes like neurological lesions and raised intracranial pressure.
It is generally advised to consult your GP when you have headache with bowel straining.
Thanks
Hi.....may I ask how long is this going on?
I would suggest going to a NL or NS and getting an MRI of ur Brain w/wo contrast and of ur complete spine.
I was thinking migraines, but when u have issues when straining it changed the possibilities to chiari and related conditions....
Please see ur dr to get a dx but do ask for them to check for this possibility. If u want more info see the chiari forum here on MedHelp.
