I’ve only been having migraines with auras for about four months , but it’s every single day. Some days are better than others, but seems to get worse as time goes on. It’s been nonstop miserable for 13 days now. I had an mri done without contrast and this is what it showed.
“There is a single ovoid T2 hyperintensity within the right thalamus measuring 4mm x 6mm x 7mm.
Impression: There is a single ovoid T2 hyperintensity within the right thalamus. This is non-specific. This could represent sequela of white matter injury (which can be seen in the setting of migraine headaches) or possibly a space occupying lesion.”
My doctor called and said we need to do an MRI with contrast to see what it is. I know white matter. Lesions are common with migraines, but want to know if other people have them in the same area? Is this a common area of the brain to get wml from migraines?
