I would highly recommend that you take your wife to see a cardiologist. Syncope just means that you pass out. I have vaso-vagal syncope, where my blood vessels randomly dilate from the pain of my migraines. However, I'm now on several heart medications, and haven't passed out in a while.
Good luck and keep us posted,
~Dame
Hi,
How is your wife? Syncope or loss of consciousness can due to a sudden decline in blood flow to the brain which may be due to an irregular cardiac rate or rhythm or by changes of blood volume or distribution. If it is not heart-related, it can be treated acutely by lying down with the legs elevated. Aside from the tilt-table test, what other tests were done? Take care and do keep us posted.
What all cardiac testing has she had? I know you mentioned a tilt table test, but anything else?
