Hi,
Migraines can occur with or without headache. Sometimes aura is the only presenting symptom. I would suggest you to use the migraine tracker and try to identify the trigger for your symptoms.
Magnesium supplements have also been found to be helpful in migraine. You can discuss this with your treating doctor.
Take care!
I had to see an opthomologist recently. She asked me if I had migraines with an aura or no aura. Then she asked if I have pain or just the aura. I said "well, pain of course...what else?" Then she told me that she has seen many patients that have migraine with no pain! It's the aura only. Strange visual disturbances like what you describe that last a short time or even a couple of hours but they are not followed by the more common migraine pain. I was dumbfounded. She said that people that have this usually think they are going blind or something or they think they are going crazy (seeing things). So they go to the opthomologist thinking it's a vision problem. I don't know if this is what you are having but it may be worth it to check it out.
