Pain on top of head

I am having a mild persisting headache on the top right side of my head. It's mild but continuous type. It started all of a sudden 3 days ago when I woke up from sleep. When I place my affected side of my head on the pillow the pain persists, but if I place the other side then there happens to be no pain. I was wondering if it is something serious and I should visit my doctor ASAP.

Hi,
The headache could be due to acute sinusitis, i would suggest you to try steam inhalation and take OTC antihistaminics. At the same time please get your blood pressure checked.Meanwhile you can take OTC painkillers for headache. If the pain worsens please consult your physician. Also make sure that you eat on time and maintain your fluid intake.Take care!
