Pain right side of head

Four weeks ago I started to get a strange pressure in the back of my head and I felt really sick for about 4 days. The sickness then went away and the pressuer/dull pain came on every other day. For the past 5 days it has been pretty constant but only seems to be in the right side of my head, on top and at the back. Anybody else had this? I went to my doctor who gave me tablets but I dont think they are working.
Any help would be appretiated, thanks!

Hi,

You can try steam inhalation also a few times and see if you feel better. Congested sinuses can cause pressure headaches on one side of the head.

Only other symptom is I feel slightly sick occasionally. She told me to get my eyes tested and if it is no better go back in a few weeks. Thanks for your reply :)

Hi,

Do you have any accompanying symptoms?
There is a possibility that this is tension headache, although other causes like sinusitis, poor eyesight, migraine and high blood pressure cannot be ruled out completely.
I would suggest you to take an OTC pain killer, eat regularly, maintain hydration, avoid caffeine and alcohol, and sleep at your usual bedtime for the next few days.
If your symptoms still persist please consult a neurologist. Take care!
