Headache/Dizziness/Confusion...

Hello!

I'm a 22 year old female and for the last week I've experienced some severe headaches. I wouldn't say they are as severe as a migrane, but still painful. I'm also constantly feeling unsteady. I cant stand for extended periods of time, after about 15 minutes, I need to sit down or lean on something. I feel like I can't concentrate on anything, and I'm getting easily distracted. I feel uncomfortable driving for more than 15 minutes because I feel like I can't focus on the road. I constantly feel tired, even though I am getting an average nights sleep, same as always, so it's not like I am exhausted.

About every 20 minutes or so, I get this weird rush sensation. It starts at the top of my head and is like a wave going down toward my eyes, almost like my brain is being grabbed and turned 90 degrees.

I'm on no medication, eat healthy and drink a lot of water. Any thoughts?

Hi,
How are you? Headache and dizziness can be attributed to a variety of issues like ear and eye conditions, blood pressure changes, medication side effect and underlying medical conditions such as anemia.  If it persists, check with your doctor for proper diagnosis. Take care and regards.

Well, I personally don't feel like it is "nothing", thats why I came here. I'm not under any stress...I am perfectly happy with where my life is at the moment as well.

I think I'm going to go and try and get a second opinion.

Hi,
Thanks for the update. It is good to hear that evaluation done by your doctor was fine. However, if the headache recurs, try to identify the possible triggers so that you can avoid them in the future. Rest, ice pack, stress management and a headache journal or the headache tracker in this forum may help. Take care always.

Hello!

Thank you for the quick reply!

I have had no previous trauma to the head, so it is not a concussion. I had went to a doctor yesterday at a clinic and he told me that it is probably nothing...but I personally feel like what I am going through isn't nothing.

Hi,
How are you? Was there previous trauma to your head? This could be caused by migraine or some of  its types like hemiplegic migraine which can present with confusion, numbness, defective muscle coordination and headaches. If it is increasing in severity, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor or be referred to a neurologist for proper evaluation.Your complete medical history and further diagnostic tests may help determine the underlying cause. Take care and do keep us posted.
