HEADACHE BECAUSE OF BRAIN SWELLING ACCORDING TO DOCTOR

I AM A 40 YEAR OLD MALE GETTING THESE SEVERE HEADACHES THAT AFFECT MY EYE MUSCLES AS WELL MAKING ME EXTREMELY SENSITIVE TO SOUND AND LIGHT. IT IS PAINFULL WHEN I EXPERIENCE THESE HEADACHES EVEN WHEN TURNING MY EYES. THE ONLY THING THAT HELPS IF THEY GIVE ME A DRIP. THE DOCTOR DIAGNOSED SAYING THE BRAIN IS SWELLING AND THIS CAUSES THE PAIN. APPARENTLY IT IS A VIRUS THAT CANNOT BE CURED BUT ONLY TREATED BY THESE DRIPS

Hi,

Did you undergo CT scan or MRI of head? Also infection would cause fever, do you have any fever?
The headache could be a migraine headache. I would suggest you to try OTC pain killers and see if they help. Otherwise please seek a second opinion from another neurologist.
