Migraines - sugar free diet?

Hi, I'm considering sugar-free diet hoping that it would help with my migraines.
A little bit of background about me:
I was on gluten-free diet for 10 months last year thinking I was gluten intolerance.
When I got my allergy tests, I was not allergic to any food so I have started to eat everything.
I am allergic to dust mites and cats and dogs. Unfortunately, I have 4 cats so I have to deal with certain skin problems and runny noses and sneezes but other than that I am mostly okay.
I did have some back/neck problems so I see a chiropractor time to time.
Recently I have found out that I might have TMJ disorder and I thought my migraines were coming from that.
But really, my jaw doesn't hurt all that much and I have migraines every day with the feeling either extremely dizzy or faint.
Sometimes I feel extremely tired although I did nothing particularly strenuous.
I do run regularly - 3 or 4 times a week, 3-5 miles per run.
Other than that I'm mostly sedentary since I'm still in school.
I eat whatever but I indulge in sugar.

I have found many articles that sugar-free diet might help with migraines.
However, I'm worried about not getting enough energy especially I already feel dizzy and tired so often.
Has anyone tried sugar-free diet for migraines? Did it work? What kind of food did you eat?
The list I found forbids eating any grains and I was not sure about that because I love rice.
i can cut wheat but I'm not sure I can cut rice.

This is rather long and my questions aren't clear so here they are:
Does sugar free diet help with migraines?
Anybody tried it, could you share your experience and your list of food?
Any other aspects I should consider in terms of reducing migraines?

I have started diet for better health about 5 weeks ago.
It is basically a combination of sugar free, no processed foods (based on white flour) and less meat. I also change my white rice twice a week for a whole grain, drink loads of green tea (cold or hot, no sugar) and water. I have also introduced much larger variety of vegetables into my diet, such as pumkins, sweet potatoes, courgettes, okra etc.

Results...lost weight, great skin, feeling full of energy, no mood swings and NO MIGRAINE and PMS!!!

I also take Omega 3 supplement daily and swap between vitamin B and multivitamin every other day.

Hope it helps.

I'm on a refined sugar free diet and i'm losing weight loss and improving insulin resistance. I do eat some carbs including rice though.  I've had your symptoms from magnesium deficiency - migranes, TMJ, fatigue, dizziness, back and neck problems. Sugar loves to deplete magnesium! I keep developing magnesium deficiency due to my insulin resistance. Sugar..so sweet but so mean! :)
