pressure in head

Hello all
Since Friday evening I have felt unwell and want some advice...
I was very very sleepy Friday evening and woke up on Saturday feeling very sick and disorientated.
I had a terrible nauseaus feeling and was gagging over the toilet- but nothing came up.
Saturday during the day I felt better (not so sick) but by Saturday evening, I had a terrible feeling in my head, the only way I can describe it is that someone was squeezing my skull, like it was full of pressure (a bit like how your head feels when you are on a plan- well mine anyway!)
By Sunday afternoon, I suddenly felt sick again and was gagging walking down the street, but again nothing came up.
Yesterday (Monday) I went in to work, but had the pressure feeling was in my head again, I found it had to concentrate on my computer and generally felt 'off'
Today, I feel very similar. I have a pressure feeling in my head, which feel mostly on the right had side at the back of my head. I had a gagging episode this morning again, no vomit again and now I do not feel sick at all. Earlier i had a numb, tingling sensation on my face, but that has gone.
Could this all simply be a migraine or tension headache? I have never had a migraine or any strange pressure headaches like this before... so wonderfully if it could be something I have just developed?

To add- which may or may not be relevant: I missed my period this month. Was due around two weeks ago. Did a pregnancy test and was negative.

Any ideas of what this is please comment. Also- should I see my DR about this? I don't want to waste their time if it a common migraine.

Thanks

Laura

Hi Laura,

It like you say could be tension or migraine headace but if it's lasted more than a few days then you should see your GP/Doctor to get it checked out. It's never a waste of time or theirs as it's your health and they get paid for just these kind of things.

It may be simple sinus or tension headaches but put your mind at rest and get something to hopefully clear this up from the doc.

I have had a non stop headache for 6 months and went to the doctor after a few days and I'm glad I did.

Take care,

Scott
