Hi,
Thanks for the updates. Aside from the kidneys and eyes, Diabetes mellitus type II can also affect the nerves especially if the blood sugar level is not controlled. It is important to control your blood sugar level always. A referral to a neurologist will help with the evaluation. Your medical history and complete neurological examination will help determine the underlying cause. Take care always.

thank you for your information. what can be done for this type of neuropathy? i have diabetes type II could this be the cause? and if so why only on my shoulders? i went to the chiropractor and she did treatment but it is still there. i thought maybe it was a pinched nerve but it isn't. my neck is fused from C1 to C4. I was born this way. i have severe migraines and cluster headaches, they are intensified when the weather is cloudy. i will have to talk with my medical doctor about getting this checked out. thank you for your response, have a blessed day.

Hi,
How are you? Electrical sensations can be a manifestation of a neuropathy. This affects motor or sensory nerves located in different parts of the body. Affected sensory nerves may also present with tingling, numbness, and pain which can be described as sensation of wearing an invisible "glove" ; burning, freezing, or electric-like; and extreme sensitivity to touch. If this persists, check with your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
